Creation

Nestor Lefort creates in Gosselies (Belgium) a small workshop specializing in the manufacture and maintenance of hydraulic equipment . The first hydraulic pumps + 7,300 PSI are designed and built.

A solution

The disposal of small scrap metal coming from local small factories around Gosselies became problematic. Nestor Lefort filed patents and began producing hydraulic balers to reduce the volume of metal wastes.

1958

First hydraulic shears crocodile

Yvon Lefort, Nestor’s son , designs and manufactures the first Crocodile hydraulic shear in the world.

Legacy

Yvon Lefort succeeded his father, enjoying the great paternal experience, he gave a new impetus to the company.

1964

First Mobile Baler

The first automatic mobile baler is produced.

GA 700

Birth of the first automatic guillotine shear : GA 700.

Sketching

Yvon Lefort patents the first toggle action compression box.

1982

420 T Mobile Shear

Christian Lefort conceives the first 420 T mobile shear. It will give birth to an impressive range of mobile machines of all sizes that will revolutionize the world of recycling.

New offices

Construction of new offices and expansion of facilities to create two production lines.

1998

New management

Appointment of Christian Lefort as Managing Director of Lefort group.

2002

Lefort UK

Creating Lefort UK , the result of a successful partnership of over 20 years with the Chapman family.

2006

Research & Development

Development of a new hydraulic test bench.
New factory production of hydraulic cylinders is created.
New after sales service offices and facilities are built.

2010

New Mobile 500T

New mobile 500T with serial number 1000 for the Russian Market is coming out of the factory.
New technical definitions and design for the entire Lefort line.

Midway TS / BL

Launch of Midway TS or BL, integrating the overall concept of the container power unit.

Launch of the new Conkest shear, ideal machine for low volume scrap yards.

ISO 9001 Certification

ISO 9001 certification of production plants.
ISRI member (Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries).
New automated painting shop.

2014

Lefort North America

Creating Lefort North America and the new 1000T mobile US version with TIERS 4F engine and 7 axles
New 33,000 sq feet computerized warehouse in Belgium.
Implementation of a global distribution platform for spares parts.

2015

Demo Days

Lefort North America hosted its first Demo Day with a Mobile 1000T cutting force.
