Lefort Secures Interim Court Decision in Milan Concerning Its TRAX technology
Milan, April 19, 2026 – Lefort S.A., a leading manufacturer of equipment for the scrap metal recycling industry, announces it has secured a favorable decision from the Court of Milan in interim proceedings regarding the protection of its intellectual property rights relating to its „TRAX“ tracked shears technology.
In its order, the Court found that there is a sufficient degree of certainty regarding both the validity of Lefort’s patents and their infringement by certain shear models marketed by C&G s.r.l.(Taurus), based notably on the findings of an independent court-appointed technical expert.
As a result, the Court has ordered, on a provisional basis, that the manufacture, marketing, and sale of the concerned scrap shear models cease.
This decision was issued in the context of interim proceedings and does not prejudge the outcome of the proceedings on the merits, which remain ongoing.
