The Metal Recycling Group have made yet another big investment for 2022 with a new Lefort Koloss 1000 TS shear baler for their new yard in Silvertown. Previous known as LCM Scrap the London based group have had a year of big investment with their new purpose built yard at Silvertown and big improvements in plant and machinery.
A well established Lefort customer, MRG wanted a new static shear for their flagship yard. The Trax
600 and 1000 shears have served them well and they really valued the Lefort folding box to process
their mixed scrap, the Lefort Koloss TS was an ideal solution.
With their new site MRG wanted to go green and have opted for an electric version. The standard
models are quick and market leading on production but MRG wanted more. Their new shear has the
very latest optional upgrade with a larger powerpack fitted with 4 x 110kw electric motors and 8
Rexroth pumps.
The machine has been quickly put to work and more than doubled their production.
