New LEFORT KAR6000 Twin Ram Baler arrives at U-Pull-It In Scotland

The second LEFORT KAR 6000 baler ordered by U-Pull-It in 2026 was delivered earlier this year to the company’s Inverkeithing site in Scotland, reflecting U-Pull-It’s continued investment in modern vehicle recycling technology across the UK.

This KAR 6000 features a twin-ram baling system, the preferred configuration for the Inverkeithing operation, and replaces a LEFORT P620 that had been serving the group for more than 20 years.

With Inverkeithing being a particularly busy site, the KAR 6000 was selected for its fast cycle times, high productivity and proven reliability. The decision also builds on U-Pull-It’s positive experience with its first KAR 6000, installed at the York depot in 2022.

The machine is equipped with a 6-metre box, powered by a 275 HP Perkins engine, and features 240-tonne force on each lid together with 2 × 180-tonne pusher rams. It produces compact 1,000 × 600 mm bales and is fitted with full automatic greasing for easier maintenance and consistent performance.

More than four months after commissioning, the operators have been extremely satisfied with the machine, reporting reliable and trouble-free operation since installation.
